NIS has started blocking access to internet in Google Chrome

Yesterday while listening to a streaming radio station, I lost internet access.  I even got a blue screen of death....twice.  I finally got a successful system restore, but now I can't access the internet unless I turn off the NIS firewall.  I am on Google Chrome with Windows 7.  Any ideas other than leaving the firewall off?

Hi Chauncey, sorry to hear about this issue. Did your version of Norton upgrade itself recently? By that I mean within the last 3 weeks?

It would also be nice to see your BSOD logs.

Hello

Do you have the latest Chrome and the latest Chrome Toolbar for Norton.? It just updated on Wed. I  believe. That's when the Announcement came out for it.

I would try a restart and see if that clears up things. I would also recommend that you try a reset of the Smart Firewall.

Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.
