No installations left and have been advised that my Norton Internet Security now only supports one installation?

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum as I haven't had a lot of luck with the online chat this evening. I'm trying to set up my new laptop to replace my ancient PC. Looking on my device list I tried to install Norton Internet Security from there but was advised that I had no installations left and that I had to remove a licence to allow the program to be installed on my new laptop. I did this and removed the licence for my old PC only to discover that this didn't fix the issue and I still have no installations?

So after this failed I talked to a man via the online chat who logged into my new laptop and tried to install it. However, he was unable to as the remaining licences I have on the account I need for my other laptop and my son's laptop. The man then advised me that because it was an older product that it only supports one licence now???? I asked how this is possible as I've always had three devices on the account? He said I could no longer have this as it was an older product? I don't see how this can be as I've renewed my subscription every year and when I look on the shop for Norton Internet Security it states it comes with three licences? However, I didn't have a chance to discuss this further with the Norton support as he disconnected from my PC just as I was trying to reply which I'm not impressed with to be honest as he's now left a half installed Norton Internet Security program on my new laptop which I can do nothing with!!

I am running Windows 10 on the new laptop and would appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue?

Many thanks

Trace

That is not something I've seen reported here. When did you actually buy the copy you are using and if a few years ago how have you been renewing it at the end of each year.

Please try again using the Norton OnLine Support via the CHAT method that uses your computer keyboard and not the phone. You can keep a record of the contact and get a contact number that can be followed up by Norton staff here if necessary (but don't post that contact number in a message here in the open forum)

To contact customer support Click on this link https://www.norton.com/chat and work on from there.

Please let us know how you get on ....
