NOF blocks sites but no log! [Again]

Hi everyone,

now my son is connected and he visited many sites but after 10:57 AM (Italian time) no web activity logged. The NOF icon is OK, the two ccsvchst.exe are ok, no windows event log related to NOF, no e-mail notification of error.

But NOF log report no web activity. No green icon on my son's log page. But house rules update normally, sites are blocked normally. No sign that NOF doesn't log.

Same problem of http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Online-Family/NOF-blocks-sites-but-no-log/td-p/585998

Thanks in advance for replies.

PS: the pc is win 7 32bit with NOF 2.2.0.43 and NIS 2011 18.6. No other security software installed.

Re: NOF blocks sites but no log! [Again]

Hi Axios,

Are you still experiencing the issue?

Is it possible that you create another profile online to see if it happens to another profile too (You can remove it later by clicking the "Remove Child" link at Settings -> Profile for the testing profile)?

Thanks,

Katie

Thanks Katie

Re: NOF blocks sites but no log! [Again]

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The problem disappeared by itself after 12-14 hours on 23/01/2012.

No, I haven't tried to set another profile. If the problem will return, I will try it.

I have no explanation for this random problem.

It happen randomly at interval of 1 month.

Re: NOF blocks sites but no log! [Again]

Update: the problem has occurred again yesterday and even today and has resolved itself today at 20:00 Italian time.

I really don't understand the origin of this problem.

Axios,

Have you gotten a chance to create another profile online to see it experiences the same issue as indicated in my previous post?

Thanks,

Katie

Re: NOF blocks sites but no log! [Again]

During the last time that the problem occurred I wasn't connected, and only when the problem was solved itself I saw it, so I cannot do the test.

If the problem re-happens and I'm online I will try this as suggested.
