Norton 360 - no screen display after update

After updating to 22.21.11.46 via installing the patch, Norton 360 will no longer show a screen display.

It 'opens' in the sense that Process Explorer shows two instances of NortonSecurity.exe running, with the larger one actively accessing the CPU and disk.

But there is no display on the screen.

I had this problem with another recent update. Restarting the computer solved it.

But I've restarted the system 4 times, and there is still no screen display.

It will also not display a screen in Safe Mode.

This is especially annoying at the moment, as I need to access some Web sites for time-critical actions, and cannot access NPM to get the pws for the sites. It looks as if I'll have to set up new pws on each.

If there isn't a fix for this, and given the change to make NPM so much less useful, I'm thinking it may be time to say goodbye to Norton.

Is there a way to roll back to an earlier version? Or remove the patch?

I dl'd the latest installer, ran it.

It installed a version that does have screen display.

Re: Norton 360 - no screen display after update

I see it seems glitchy since 22.21.11.46 update.  After update I rebooted several times and ran LU.  However the N360 user interface screen initially opens to a blank screen (white) for me and if I close the user window and reopen,  it  opens with my user interface screen  so I can run scans, etc.  Maybe there are others with similar experience? Maybe a bug in the last update.

SantaFeBill. Check two things on your Windows 7 computer. See if you have Windows 7 SP1. Also check for updated video drivers. Both can be a part of the issues you are seeing.

This problem required extensive investigation and action by the online agents, referred to a senior technician( over 8 hours!). It basically involved deleting dozens of stranded rogue Norton files not removed from previous renewals etc and then re-installing from scratch. Whilst all this was going on, I discovered another problem - that my posts to the forum ( to update and comment on suggestions) were not being uploaded all of a sudden. Yet more agent referrals and this now has also been solved- apparently a problem at Norton's end which may have affected ' 10 users globally' !

Just to quickly address this comment.

You do not even need a Norton 360 subscription or product installed to use NPM on your computer. NPM is in no way connected to the 360 product in that you install the NPM browser extension in your browser and log into your cloud based vault.

Did you check your graphics drivers as suggested by SoulAsylum above?
