Norton 360 says "No internet connection" when trying to access help or update program

I recently updated to Windows 11, but this was an issue on Windows 10 too.

The Norton 360 home screen routinely drops the Norton Utilities section though the subscription is still active.

It also refuses to process updates it says it downloaded successfully.

When I click on the help button it works for a while then says "No internet connection" yet there is a healthy connection and this occurs whether or not I have the VPN activated.

I have used the manual uninstall-reinstall tool, but that is a pain to have to do daily to make sure my program is up to date.  For the expense of this software one would think it would actually do what it claims to do.
