Norton 360 VPN

I doubt there is a solution for this since this is a glitch that NORTON needs to fix with an update.  I use my laptop inside of my home.  VPN is off in windows and Secure VPN is off in My NORTON.  For some reason Norton keeps turning back on by itself and I have to keep turning it back OFF.  This is very annoying.  It is a feature I do not need ON and when it is on it adversely affects my web surfing.  This problem exists and can be confirmed with the similar comments being made on the forum.  Heads up Norton! We need a fix!  I have performed an uninstall and reinstall and the problem continues.  This all started with my newest Norton 360 which was installed back at the end of November (I have a subscription).

Re: Norton 360 VPN

Are you getting any messages about a compromised network?

You should be able to stop the VPN from coming on automatically by turning off Auto Connect and Auto VPN in the VPN Settings.  You will still be able to turn on the VPN manually if you need it.

Re: Norton 360 VPN

Thank you for your continued assistance.  There are two laptops being used in the home with Norton 360 working fine; no compromised network.  As I mentioned before, the fix lies with Norton.  All settings for VPN are OFF (no auto-connect).  There is a malfunction in that the VPN will not stay off as it continually turns back on several times a day.  I have to keep shutting it off.   Many people are complaining about this same issue.  This is mostly an F.Y.I. for Norton; I'm hoping that there are Norton techs paying attention to these forums.
