Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Hi,

There is a bug in the recent redesign of the Norton Account web site, in Account Settings > Subscriptions

Under the Product Key, it says 10 Install(s), then lists the number of Used and Available

When you click on the Used link, a little mini window opens up with a capacity of about 5 1/2 lines.

But if you attempt to scroll this mini window by clicking on its scroll bar, the mini window is closed as soon as you click anywhere. Therefore, you cannot see the 6th through the 10th computer on that product key.

This is a design flaw. Please fix it.

Thanks.

Windows 7, IE 11.

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

If you click on the little up or down arrows to the right of the list, that should move your list up or down. It does for me using Chrome.

If that does not work for you, I see you are using IE 11. Can you try another browser?

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Thank you so much for explaining how scroll bars work. I hadn't figured that out by now.

So with all the hundreds of thousands of Win 7 PC's still out there, and the Windows 10 users who still use IE 11 because, ahem, Norton Family still does not work in Edge, is it now Norton's policy to drop support for IE 11??

Peachy.

How about they fix the bug instead of asking me to use another browser.

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Sorry for the scroll bar instructions.

I just tested in Chrome, IE, FF and Edge and the only one that I saw the issue you see is IE. I'll pass this along to Norton.

As for the Edge and Norton Family, as your link noted

We expect to support activity monitoring on the Edge browser as soon as Microsoft begins allowing browser extensions.

As Microsoft has just recently allowed additional extensions, you may expect to see some news on this soon.

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Hi,

The problem with Norton Account in Internet Explorer 11 is back.

In IE 11, clicking anywhere in the Account Settings > Subscriptions box causes the box to disappear without doing anything. Please fix this.

In addition, even with Firefox 53, when attempting to delete a license, you have to click on the trash can spot on or the box will disappear, again without doing anything. It took me 3 tries to find the sweet spot where clicking on the trash can would ask me if I wanted to delete a license (for a remove and reinstall on another PC).

Please fix these issues.

Thanks.

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Just wanted to let you know that the problems with the Manage Licenses box on the Subscriptions page is back with a vengeance.

The Manage Licenses box is all but useless. Clicking anywhere, including on the scrollbars or on the trash can to delete a license simply dismisses the box without doing anything. So you cannot scroll down to see the whole list of licenses, and you cannot delete a license.

PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

Thank you.

Re: Norton Account > Account Settings > Subscriptions Bug

Hello @dbdan22,

Thanks again for bringing up these issues. Both the issues(mentioned below) are addressed now.

1. In IE 11, clicking anywhere in the Account Settings > Subscriptions box causes the box to disappear without doing anything.

2. Clicking anywhere, including on the scrollbars or on the trash can to delete a license simply dismisses the box without doing anything.

Thanks,

Christy
