Norton Account Security - Recent Sign-in Activity

A question regarding Norton Account Security :

Is there any way of detecting, such as a "Recent Sign-in Activity" option, whether someone other than the holder of a Norton Account, has signed /hacked into the holder's account ?

Um, you may setup Two Step Verification > https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v100023155
Someone tries to access your Norton account and your second verification method will be invoked.
For example your phone will be automated-called ...

Can I use the "VIP Access Desktop" software for one of the verification methods for my Notebook PC, or should  I use "VIP Access Mobile" software ?

Does that mean that you would not trust using the "VIP Access software system" for sign-in verification to your Norton Account ?

I don't run VIP Access.  Symantec VIP Access Client.
I use land and cell numbers.
I sign in.  I get an automated phone call from bank / credit card / etc. with verify code.
Works for me. 
What ever second verification works for you.

I cannot find where, in my account settings, to setup the 2 methods for the 2-step verification process for signing into my Norton Account.

It does not appear as an option in my account settings.

Would appreciate if you could advise me where to find it.

To enroll for Two Step Verification

  1. Open your web browser, and go to: https://login.norton.com

  2. Sign in to your Norton account.

  3. Security > Setup

Well, I have tried to set up the 2-step verification method for signing into my Norton Account, according to your instructions, but I can still sign-in to my Norton account as before, just with my password & without using 2-step verification.

I tried to set up 3 methods, in the following order:

1. VIP Access Desktop Method - I downloaded and installed the application on my Notebook PC, & a "VIP Access" icon appeared on the desktop.

I clicked on the VIP Access desktop icon, which opened the VIP Access application UI, which I think then took me to VIP Access webpage where I entered a security code, which I took from the VIP Access Application UI on my Desktop. 

I then went back to the "Select a Method for receiving verification codes webpage" to select another method, which was :

2. SMS Text message method - I entered the phone number on the SMS setup webpage, & then received a txt message with a security code number, which I entered on the SMS setup webpage.

I then went back to the "Select a Method for receiving verification codes webpage" to select another method, which was :

3. Voice Message Phone method -  I entered the phone number on the Voice Message setup page, & then received a voice message with a security code number, which I entered on the "Voice Message by Phone setup webpage", after which I was advised that this would be the default method to receive security codes, and that I should add at least one backup method. This of course has me confused, because I thought that I had already setup 2 other methods for receiving security codes.

I decided not repeat the selection & setup process of the "VIP Access Desktop" method & the "SMS Text Message" method, because it might just make matters worse.

What should I do now to get these 3 methods to work for signing into my Norton Account ?

My preferred verification method order for signing into my Norton Account would be (1)"VIP Access Desktop" method (default) > (2) Voice Message by Phone method > (2) SMS Text message method.

I would greatly appreciate if you could help me resolve this problem.

Further to my earlier reply of today 19Aug15, 2:29am, here is some more info on the problem.

Now when I sign into my "Accounts Settings" webpage, via the  https://login.norton.com/ link that you provided, the "Security Section' on the webpage indicates that "2-step verification is Disabled". When I click on the "setup" link that is provided there, it takes me to the "Norton Secure Account- Add Stronger Security to your account" webpage, & clicking on the "Get Started" link provided there, takes me to the "Select a method for receiving verification codes" webpage, in spite of the fact that I have already attempted to setup 3 verification methods.

I think I will try a Norton Support Chat; hopefully they will be able to help me resolve it, without having to resort to anything drastic.

Update on the problem

It has been EASILY resolved via the Norton Support Chat + remote session.

Successfully setup 3 alternative 2-step verification methods:

(1) VIP Access Desktop - Default

(2) Phone Voice Call Message

(3) SMS Text Message
