Nope, not too bad here. What are your PC specs?

Re: Norton and Explorer = Very slow computer

Hello

I wouldn't know how slow it got. I have always run my scans at night while I was sleeping.

Thanks.

Re: Norton and Explorer = Very slow computer

I am having issues, too, seems more that Norton is running full system scan as a background task WHILE I am working although I have scan scheduled for night when I am away. Is it failing to run or is this an additional scan? It shows in background tasks and I have to stop it because it bogs down my computer. How do I get it not to do that? I keep going in and stopping it and setting Norton to silent mode. I do not really want to do that. I just want it to stop trying to run full system scans during my working hours. Please help.

Hello

Have you set a schedule for when you want the scans to be done? Please see

Settings>Antivirus>Scans and Risks>Computer Scans>Full System Scan> Configure. If your location, time settings are correct, then that should work.

Thanks.

Re: Norton and Explorer = Very slow computer

Thank you for your reply! I have Norton 360 Premier. Yes, I do have scans set under "Settings," "Task Scheduling" for 11:59 p.m. Tues, Thurs., and I have the "Run only at idle time" checked. I do not understand why I find "full scan" running sometimes while I am at work M-F 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. I am able to see this under "Settings", "Administrative Settings", "Background Tasks," "Configure."  I am able to click on it and stop it. Then I click "back" until I see the option for "Silent Mode." I hate to put it on silent mode, though. I thought perhaps it was an item I had checked under "Automatic Tasks" (which is another tab under "Task Scheduling"), but full scan is not listed there. Thoughts?

Re: Norton and Explorer = Very slow computer

Hello

Do you hit Apply after you set it? You can try doing a remove and reinstall of your program and then run Live Update until you have all updates available, restart and run Live Update again. Keep going until you have version 22.10.1.10 and no more updates available. Then go over settings for the program especially for scheduling  of the program. When first installed, it will do a full system scan. If it doesn't get the time to do it when manual, it will do it when you are working.

www.norton.com/nrnr  You can go to your Norton Account and download a pre-activated copy of your Norton Account.

Thanks.
