Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

After doing an update to the Norton AntiTrack it displays when opened.

New

Private Email

Set Up Email Protection

But the link does nothing when I click on it!

Is this something that is "WIP" or is it a service that has not yet been setup?

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Hi Adrian, Just FYI - I've been able to set this up in Norton Secure Browser. From now on, the link:

https://private-email.norton.com/dashboard

Is redirecting to the Private Email webapp (something like Norton Password Manager that runs in the browser). Currently it's a bit limited, you can create an email alias @norton.me and link it to your actual email. There is a limit of 5 aliases.

One thing to point out is that I didn't get any verification code to my real email address. I've read on some US Norton support site that in fact there should be a verification step when creating an email alias. Maybe it will be solved with next update. I hope you will find it useful!

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Curious, can you post the link URL?

fwiw ~

Norton AntiTrack offers the Private Email feature that is currently available only on the Windows platform and supports the Google Chrome and Edge browsers. Please stay tuned, Private Email will be available for other Operating Systems in our future releases.

and you're Windows (except W10/11 S mode/ARM) + Google Chrome or Edge browser
and mouse hover link reports nothing lower left = bad link/"WIP"

Thanks

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

The AntiTrack window is not a browser window, it has no URL link display on the "lower left" so hovering the pointer does nothing nor displays anything.

I will wait and see if anyone else running AntiTrack has the same issue.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Hi,

This is a new feature of Anti Track

It is supposed to be setup through the My Norton portal and is accessible through the AntiTrack browser extensions.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Like I said in the opening thread Nathan, that I noticed it in the new update for AntiTrack.

But when I click on the link in the AntiTrack Portal, nothing happens.

I appreciate the post, but if your not going to provide a solution and only repeat what I already know then why post?

it would be nice to hear from someone who has AntiTrack installed or who has the same issue.  Then I guess its just something not yet setup and is still WIP.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Hello @Adrian Britton 2023,

Thanks for your feedback. I had the same problem yesterday when Norton Antitrack antitrack updated.

After restarting my PC, checking that my browsers were up to date, it works on Google Chrome on my side at https://private-email.norton.com/dashboard.

On Edge, for my part, I still come across the support page telling me how to install the extensions.

Please also note that the new Anonymous Email Address feature in Norton AntiTrack is not currently supported in the Mozilla Firefox browser. only in Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. But don't worry, it will be available soon.

Please also note that the function is very recent. The feature description was added only today to the Norton Antitrack Product page. It is possible that they will be deployed in a staggered manner.

Tracker-free email address
Create unlimited email aliases and block hidden email trackers, all without changing your current provider.**

** Only available for Windows PCs.

More information soon, I think.

Re: Norton AntiTrack Email Protection

Here's my experience with the Private Email feature.

When I click on Private Email Set Up in the Norton AntiTrack add in for Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome it loads this link:

https://private-email.norton.com/dashboard

but then it goes to:

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/v202309130825...

This page has a link to "Install Norton AntiTrack extension on your web browser". The extension is already installed on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It would seem that AntiTrack is not detecting the extension so I can't get to the Private Email Set Up.

Any ideas or solution?

Guillaume1024 and Filbert136

Thanks for the reply.

I don't even get a page load. I did/do run edge but recently I setup the Norton Security Browser. So it could be a cross conflict of links.  As the AntiTrack is managed by Edge still, plus the Password Manager sends request to my phone upon opening the browser.   So maybe everything is conflicting with itself with privacy and security and anti-tracking.

I guess it's still WIP then and the bugs will get sorted out eventually.

cheers for the feedback

It says unlimited unique emails. "Mask your private email address, remove hidden email trackers, and create unlimited unique email aliases while helping to keep your personal email address private."
