Norton Backup

I am looking into getting a new computer and have several important things backed up with my Norton 360. I am wondering, if I purchase a new computer and put my current subscription of Norton onto a new computer, will everything that is backed up be placed onto the new computer?

Re: Norton Backup

Your data will not automatically be restore to the new computer. You will have to manually run a backup restore after installing 360 on the new computer.

See this Norton Support article.   https://support.norton.com/sp/en/ca/home/current/solutions/v6958542

Re: Norton Backup

Thank you. One more question.....what if my computer goes kaput before I get a new one....can Norton restore my subscription along with my saved data? Then I will manually the restore my files.

Re: Norton Backup

Your subscription information is stored in your Norton Account and so is your data from your Norton backups. So it will always be available when you get your new computer.
