Kudos1 Stats

Norton Backup can not start.

Ever since Norton 360 was upgraded, I get the following message, "We are unable to proceed with Norton Account at this time. Please try again later."  I have no internet issues. When I check the status of my account everything is okay. Any help would be appreciated.

If you were previously backing up and want to re-connect to the prior backups, as well as fix this error, try the following:

  1. Open Norton 360's main client.
  2. Click on Manage on the right hand side.
  3. Click on Log Out located to the right. It is a darker grey color so it may be a little hard to see.
  4. Once done close Norton 360 and re-open it.
  5. Go back to Manage again and re-login to the Norton Account.
  6. Once completed go back to the main Norton 360 screen and click on Backup.
  7. Click on Restore Files.
  8. Click on View All
  9. There will be a link on the bottom of the next screen that says Refresh List.
  10. It'll connect to storage from there and retrieve the past history.
  11. Select the set and click Close.
  12. Close out of Norton 360 and give the system a restart to be safe.
  13. Once its back up verify if online backup has properly activated.

Otherwise try these abbreviated steps to resolve the error without concern of re-connecting to prior backups for restore:

  1. Open Norton 360's main client.
  2. Click on Manage on the right hand side.
  3. Click on Log Out located to the right. It is a darker grey color so it may be a little hard to see.
  4. Once done close Norton 360 and re-open it.
  5. Go back to Manage again and re-login to the Norton Account.
  6. Once completed go back to the main Norton 360 screen and click on Backup.
  7. Go to Manage Backup Sets.
  8. Either run an existing backup or set it up as you see fit.
