Norton backup fails in Vista

I think Comcast came out with a NIS update last July, and ever since, my Vista backup fails to complete. It appears all files are backed up successfully EXCEPT it fails trying to backup a temporary recorded TV file.  Thus, the last backup date does not change and consequently, I get the "System At-Risk, Fix Now" screen.

I've tried deleting the TV file but the OS won't let me.  Seems attributes are read only and I can't seem to change those. The only way I can get the backup to complete is to manually excluding all Public\Recorded TV\ folder files each time before I backup.  Why do I have to do this?

Re: Norton backup fails in Vista

Hello sanders2222,

You shouldn't have to each time. As long as you're excluding that directory or added a rule to forcibly exclude it it will keep the settings. The only reason I can see why is the location keeps changing. How are you excluding these items?
