Norton Chat Support is a buch of sell outs!! - VERY UNSATISFIED!

So I contacted Norton Chat Support just more then an hour ago, I explained I have a valid key for NISv21 till 2019 and would like to tranfer my days to the new NSv22.

The guy told me that it was not possible because it's a trial version (key) and I must buy a key for NSv22, so I did, I bought a key for 70 USD (!!!), I paid with my creditcard.

I came back to the chat, because he waited for me till I was finished paying, and he terminated the chat!!!

I reconnected to Norton Chat and had to tell all over again all what I wanted, it took me a while again to explain what I wanted, after that she told me that it was NOT possible and she asked for my tel number, they will contact me within 24 hours, I told her yesterday I had gave my number too and that Norton still haven't called me back...

The Norton Chat Support is VERY bad and it oly exists of people from India that doesn't know what the hell they're doing!

So... I ended up with a key for NSv22 for 1 year... the older key still has days till 2019!!!

Norton is a great disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!

With a new release there are always employees with NO knowledge at all. I have spoken with two employees and they all confirm you may transfer the remaining days to your new bought V22 key.

No they haven't .. I contacted Norton Chat Support now 3 times and they all can NOT help me!

They say they will call me in 24 hours!!

What kind of service is that???

I upgraded from Norton 360 to Norton Security 2015 and paid the 79.99 for 1 year and the customer service person added my 353 days left from the Norton 360.   Very easy transaction.   I now have 700 days until my next renewal.

Yeah.. cool.. but I lost 803 days because my key was valid till 2019.. isn't that much?

They said the same to me, for NISv21 you have 3 PC's and now for the NSv22 you have 5 PC's, I just use 1 PC so I don't care..

I bought a new key for NSv22 that was 79,99 USD, that has 366 days + 810 days ( it was a lot more days; till 2019) = 1176 days so I lose 803 days! =(

Ferenzz, I think Tony should respond to that; it now looks like one customer is treated differently than the other. It cannot be ment this way.

I reviewed one of my Chat Sessions....re v22

Maybe Ferenzz was up against the 36 month rule. 
"In general, Symantec will allow customers to renew their subscription for 36 months from the initial purchase date"
"Shortly after Norton Security and Norton Security with Backup are made available, a transition option will be made available to existing customers"
"You have the option to upgrade or not"
It never occurred to me that customers would become free agents.  Negotiating with Support for the best deal.
Truth be told.  I never did understand Norton's business model.  Online Store vs. Amazon
We all benefited from Norton's business model.  Now, times they're a changing....

Ferenzzz, I believe not all chat and call techs are made aware of the transfer policy yet. I'm sure Symantec wouldn't want their existing customers with legacy products hanging on the air with no further product upgrades. Did you renew NIS online till 2019?
