Norton Clean App (Android) doesn't remove bloatware

Norton mentioned that it's Norton Clean, Junk Removal app removes bloatware as well. But it doesn't even shows bloatware in the app.

Either remove uninstall bloatware from description or fix the issue.

My Device - Nokia 6

Thanks

Can you give an example of the bloatware the is not being removed on your phone?

To remove bloatware, you need to click on the Manage Apps section at the bottom of the page. That should bring up a list of apps that can be managed by Norton Clean.

Nokia 6 is Amazon Exclusive. So there are "Amazon Shopping" and "Kindle" apps. I don't know whether Norton can remove Google Duo or not (as it is from Google) but it also doesn't show Google Apps in the list. I'm attaching screenshot sorted by App Name. Please check out PDF file.

When you click on an app in that app list, you are given the option to uninstall. Try that for the apps you want to remove.

If the Google Duo is a system app, Norton cannot remove it.

Yes I know. But Amazon apps were not released by Google. Nokia added them. So Nokia added those apps as "system apps"?

It would appear so. Each carrier for cell phones often have proprietary add app add ons, or actual changes to the Android OS that they feel gives a better user experience for their users. And if your phone is only available from Amazon, they probably chose what apps/features they wanted included.

These kinds of things usually cannot be removed without rooting your device. That can be very dangerous, so better to go into Android Settings - Apps and disable the ones you do not want.

Amazon also includes several Amazon apps, including Prime Photos, Prime Videos, Amazon Kindle, Audible, Prime Now, IMDb, Goodreads, Amazon Drive, Amazon Music, Amazon Alexa, and the Amazon shopping app. These cannot be removed from the device.

Thanks to both of you. I didn't know that there was difference between bloatware and system apps. I used to think only google apps are system apps. Anyway Thanks.
