Norton Cloud Storage fees

I just wanted to post some feedback here on the Norton Cloud/Backup fees:

(i.e about 100GB for $100/year)

These prices are not in line with what other vendors are offering for cloud storage.
e.g.
Microsoft has 1TB for about $100/year (includes Office subscription too).
And iDrive has 1TB for about $45/year.

Why would I want to push my backups to Norton's Cloud/Backup storage at the Norton rates? i.e. What is the product/service differentiator?

Re: Norton Cloud Storage fees

Hi natey2,

You bring up an interesting point and I'm sure a lot of people are wondering the same.

It might get more exposure if you posted this in the Product Suggestions forum.

Re: Norton Cloud Storage fees

To my knowledge, Microsoft OneDrive doesn't encrypt your files when it gets uploaded. Norton Online Backup services encrypts your files for additional security. This might be the reason for the price discrepancy.
