Norton Community Watch

If one decides to not be part of Norton Community Watch, that will not decrease the function of protection on my machine will it? Is it linked to SONAR? Like if I opt out of community watch can I still click yes to sonar?

Re: Norton Community Watch

N.C.W. sends data to symantec Security Reponse with possible un-known Viruses, like Bloodhound detections.

Having N.C.W. turned off will not de-crease your Protection and you can still use S.O.N.A.R..  S.O.N.A.R. (Symantec Online Network for Advanced Response) will pro-actively detect un-known Security Risks on your computer.
