Norton Core blocks CNN, WIKIPEDIA etc on iOS devices

Hi,

I have switched off parental controls, no limit of any data and still I cannot access simple iOS apps  e.g. NPR, CNN, Wikipedia etc. I can access all of those on PC or even on iOS if I go on cellular network on the same device... but the minute the device is on Norton core network, the sites cannot be accessed. I have done the basic trouble shooting like looking at setting, blocked site etc... nothing works.

I am almost on verge of returning the core. Any suggestions to resolve this issue will help. Many thanks

Hello Ajay P. Power cycle your Core or restart it through the app. You may want to change your DNS settings to one of the other three available in the Core settings as well.

Cheers

Many Thanks SoulAsylum,

It did work by resetting the core thru App !

I must say I was little hesitant to post on forum and was depending on Norton Core support for last 3/4 days. After long waits on calls I had given up .. as a final attempt posted it and you did help. Many thanks.

I will wait for one day to see if this continues to work and then close the question.

You are most welcome. This is what the forums are for, assisting others. Please let us know if things stay as normal as possible for you. One side note is Norton Core DNS has been having issues since early in December. If your Core app finds itself not connecting first disable wifi and try again with cellular date. If that doesn't work try using Bluetooth. I have had similar experiences where I have done them all. Remember a power cycle is the BEST WAY to restart the core vice attempting a factory reset.

Cheers
