Norton Core compatibility

  1. I have an integrated modem/router combo. Will Norton core work in that scenario or only with stand alone modem?
  2. I have Cujo as a middle man security device. Will Cujo work well with Norton Core?
  3. Is there  plan for Canadian distribution or has norton decided only US distribution?

Re: Norton Core compatibility

1. Yes Norton will work with modem/router combo.  You need to put your modem/router combo in Bridge mode.

2. Cujo does pretty much the same thing as the Norton Core but is not a router or provide wifi.   If the Cujo works for you I don't see any benefit in getting the Norton Core.

3. At the moment it is only US distribution.

2. I feel Norton core is an overall better device. Does it also provide Norton virus scanning through the device similar to Asus routers? 3. Did Norton eliminate the idea for distribution outside US or planning on it?

Re: Norton Core compatibility

3.  The initial release of the Core was to US customers only. Assuming the product works out well after all the troubleshooting from the early adopters, distribution should be expanded. Obviously, you are not going to get any time frame for this from Norton. I too am waiting in Canada.

2. I also felt that Norton Core was better when I compared it to the Cujo and chose to purchase and wait for the Norton Core.  If you get the Core you wouldn't need the Cujo.  I was also a Norton Security premium subscriber so the additional subscription was not a concern for me since I already pay for the virus protection on my devices.  I'm not familiar with the Asus router but I believe it does.  The antivirus software is included for when you are not connected to the router.

Re: Norton Core compatibility

Is there any issues of also having cujo installed on the network with Norton core? Have you seen fingbox? Seems to work with cujo as an extra level of protection.

Re: Norton Core compatibility

Hello

If you have Core, you do not need any other security program. If Cujo is a real time antivirus program, then you can not use it because having 2 antivirus programs at the same time is a no no.. With the Core, you get 1 year security program good for unlimited number of devices---pc's. laptops, macs, Android cellphones, IOS cellphones, tablets.

What operating system are you running now?

Thanks.
