Norton Core DNS Provider

Norton Core can change DNS provider to Norton Secure DNS. It is great.

https://medium.com/@nykolas.z/norton-connectsafe-dns-is-shutting-down-this-is-what-you-need-to-do-3e70432697d9

But Norton DNS is no longer provide to user. It is true? If ture, it is mean Norton Core no longer use it too?

Re: Norton Core DNS Provider

Hello Polo. Indeed the connect safe DNS is being "retired" per this announcement.

Cheers

Re: Norton Core DNS Provider

SoulAsylum can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Core has always used the BlueCoat service for the Core's Norton DNS filtering. It did not use the soon to be discontinued ConnectSafe service.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Norton Core DNS Provider

Indeed peter. BlueCoat and Safeweb work hand in hand together. The ConnectSafe DNS retirement has nothing to do with Core. The current CORE DNS on my network resolves as shown in the screenshot below. I have Cloudflare DNS values on the FIOS device since it is in front of Core on my network. Works like a charm. Asking this thread be moved to other Norton products.
