I'm not seeing the Norton Core App on the App store for iOS. I followed the instructions per Norton but it just doesn't show up. Anyone else having this problem?
I had asked the same question and was told that once I received the Core that there will be a code to scan that will take me to the URL for the application install. I asked specifically if there was an application actually provided in the app store and was given an answer that indicated there was not--seems the "specialist" doesn't understand the need for a more positive statement--but after all this is new to it seems everyone including the help people. Guess I will fine out once I receive the device.
As the device is not yet shipping, there is no need for the app to be available yet. It would only cause confusion for some users.
Plus, there could still be last minute development happening, so any app that Norton would have is not going to be the final version.
I would suggest that after the Core is actually shipping, the apps should be made available in Goggle and Apple Stores.
You do realize that the app is only for setting up and managing the Core router. It is not for the malware protection on your devices.
Yes I fully understand that the app in for setting up and managing the router. I happen to like to preview prior to actually use, but what I was addressing was the fact that the Norton site should have made it more clear that the app is forthcoming and the customer support should have know the full status of the application availability being it was the Core support I was on the phone with for a good 30 minutes.
Usually any documentation or software related to a new piece of hardware will not be available to the public until the unit ships. You cannot fault the support people as they will only have the information that is provided to them. In this case it is just the information included in the FAQs on the pages we can see.
When the unit actually ships, we should be able to get more definitive answers to questions like you had asked.
