Norton DarkWeb monitoring monitors information only since 18/12/2021, instead of 2008.

Hi

I contacted italian Norton Technical Support and they told me to write a post here on the forum.
I apologize for my English.
I have Norton 360 Premium (10pcs), and I have a problem with Norton Darkweb Monitoring function in Italy.
Monitoring of information starts from 18/12/2021, instead of 2008.
(Although mentioned on the norton website at the link:
https://support.norton.com/sp/it/it/home/current/solutions/v127344370).
I wanted to know if you could solve this problem, because otherwise the function would be, in my opinion, useless.

The monitoring starts with your Norton subscription, but it will look at all information it checks on the Dark Web for your personal information you choose to monitor. What ever date it shows up on the Dark Web.

Thank you for replying.

But the problem is that monitoring does not start since 2008, as mentioned on the above link and as you said, but begins on 18 December 2021(Which is not the date when I created the subscription). So, the data breaches occurring before December 2021 are not mentioned.
In fact, trying to verify my email address on the Nortonlifelock website (https://www.lifelock.com/breach-detection), there are two data breaches, which I don't see in my account.

The 2008 date is just noting how far back Norton is currently able to scan for your information. Are you expecting your information to be detected from some breach as early as 2008? This could just be good news for you that no information has been found before the December 2021 date you mention.

Do you have an alert noted in your Norton Account? If so, is the date of the alert what you are noting in your post above?

Ok, but why if I check in this link (https://www.lifelock.com/breach-detection) does it say that there are two data breaches for my email address, and if I check my account they are not present?

The scan at that link is telling you that your information has been found in two separate data breaches. I cannot tell why you do not see it in your Norton Account. 

Have you set up the monitoring in your account by adding the information you want to monitor?

Yes, that’s exactly why I contacted you, because I can't see the breaches (of my email adresses) that should be present on my norton account.
Anyway yes, I entered all the information correctly as required for monitoring.

The scan link above goes to a Lifelock.com web page. Your information in your Norton Account is at a Norton.com web site. That should not make a difference, and is an interesting observation on your part.

I'll escalate this thread to see if we can get any explanation for what you have found.

Thank you very much for focusing on this issue. That's what I thought too, the results should be the same as Norton uses Lifelock technology for monitoring. We'll see if we can get clarification...

I'm not likely to hear as I escalated through the forum administrators. It is more likely that you would hear something before I would.
