NORTON FAMILY FREE VERSION NO LONGER AVAILABLE - SHOULD I BUY PREMIER VERSION??

Hi - I received an email from Norton stating that their free version will no longer be available, so I am trying to figure out if I should go elsewhere or buy premium version. I have never needed any of the premier features and only care about the web blocking feature. In the time I have used Norton, I have seen more negative complaints than positive ranging from poor customer service, unresolved issues that led to people cancelling subscriptions, easy uninstalls from children that cant be corrected due to Android software, children just basically getting around the whole Norton software and using their phones in safemode to do as they please and nothing can be done about it. Ive also noticed a huge change since Katie Q left (who was a godsend for Norton) that numerous amounts of posts on the Norton family forum no go unanswered, which NEVER used to happen. Just wanted to get peoples thoughts or if they have had better luck with other parental software. Thanks in advance!

No you should not.  Not until they add in MMS messaging review.  It's wortheless to only get a message saying "MMS Message Sent/Received" without knowing what was sent.  Was it a smiley face? Was it a nude? You'll never know since Norton will never add the F**cking feature.

ConcernedParents - thanks for your info! Do you know of other parental control software that allows this feature? I'm trying to find which software to go with that has the least loopholes, best customer support, and works with Microsoft Edge.

Thanks!

I got this email as well. I was going to install the latest version and decided to uninstall the current version running on my daughter’s laptop. As soon as it uninstalled I couldn’t believe how fast her computer was. I’ve spent months deleting games and bloatware trying to figure out what was causing it to be so slow. Turns out it was the parental controls. I won’t be paying money for this product.

Chec - I also received the email. I would continue using Norton Family as I also got 6 months of premium subscription free of cost. I can take a call at the end of it and see what suits me best.
