Norton family as a standalone product?

My Norton subscription is up for renewal but my ISP offers a mcafee subscription for free. Will I still be able to run Norton family without another Norton product installed (I know updates are usually done via live update)

Norton Family is a standalone product and has it's own version of Live Update so you should be able to keep it current and running even with the change in security software.

Hi adgarner11,

As Dick stated correctly, Norton Family is a stand along product. You don't have eo  However, please check out the link below where shows some of the security products that are not compatible with Norton Family.

Also, please check out the link below to the PC magazine website where shows the choices of "The Best Security Suites for 2015"

Hi KatieQ,

I clicked your link to https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20090508145137EN_EndUserProfile_en_us. But I got a message saying "The document that you are trying to access is for an older Norton product version, and is currently unavailable."

Re: Norton family as a standalone product?

Ah.  I see that both "McAfee Internet Security with SiteAdvisor" and "McAfee VirusScan Enterprise" are both currently included in the list of products which cause compatibility problems.

Thanks for fixing the link.
