Norton Family "Time Supervision" does not work at all 3 of 4

I have installed the Norton Family to my two suns. It means 1-1 PC and 1-1 android phone.
On the phones the program is running, but starts to count the usage only when I open it. I mean, my sun playes games all morning, I ask the phone, go to Rules and see there is 59:50 is left from 1 hour limit.

At the PCs - one works well, other not register usage (see pic).

Re: Norton Family "Time Supervision" does not work at all 3 of 4

Hi Szolo,

Welcome to Norton Family Forum.

On the Windows PC (where you do not find usage), we find backend logs available for time usage till September 2nd. Can you please confirm if the pc was used after September 2nd? Please use the PC again for few hours and check if the usage gets updated.
Kindly click on the NF trayicon in the taskbar and then click on "View Time Remaining" to check if usage is updated properly.

For the Android device:
From our backend we see that the NF application in both child's Android devices is installed in parent mode on August 31st.
If you want to monitor child's android devices, please reinstall the application and in "Whose device is this?" screen please select "This is my Child's device"

Thanks,
Norton Family Team

Re: Norton Family "Time Supervision" does not work at all 3 of 4

Dear ElavaarrkuzhaleeM,

Thank you very much for the answer!

Regarding the PC - yes, it is used every day several hours. Yesterday I have checked the remaining time, it was 1 hour 17 minutes. The daily limit is two hours. So it may measures, but does not report.

Thanks for the tip with the androids, I will reinstall the apps!

Hi Szolo,

Thanks for your inputs.
Regarding the PC, we need to take a remote debugging session of your machine for further investigation.
Sent you a private message with details for the remote debugging session.
Can you please respond with your convenient time to the private message.

Thanks,

Re: Norton Family "Time Supervision" does not work at all 3 of 4

Dear ElavaarrkuzhaleeM,

Thank you very much for your help with the PC - that is working now well.

But I still have problems with the android phones
- one of them starts to count the time just if I open the app to check the time (I find 59:51 remaining time if one hour set)
- The other reached the limit one day at about 12:30, but I could see that my son is still playing in the evening. I have checked the app and find the first screen of installation - where I need accept the terms. etc (three checkbox)

+1 problem: I have changed the notification settings at profile just like you suggested, but still get notifications about not supported browsers and missing browser plugins even if I use the time supervision function only...

Dear Padmanabhan,

I did what you supposed, but on the Xiaomi .... phone it still not works. I granted all rights, reinstalled, nothing helps..

On the "Vendel Lex" phone it works well now, but still comes alerts:
"... device hasn't reported any activity in 7 day/s. Check to make sure Norton Family hasn't been turned off."

The Norton Family looks an alpha phase software, not a production one. There is only a few, wrong implemented feature, and I must pay 40€ for the testing? I am disappointed.

Best Regards,

Zoltan
