Norton Family Video Supervision Improvement

Dear Norton,

I hope you can improve the Norton Family Video Supervision feature to include the ability to block videos, channels and topics that are inappropriate for my child. I found that my child was viewing Dragonball Z nude contents. These should be wiped out

Re: Norton Family Video Supervision Improvement

Hi Xerobeat,

Thanks for the valuable suggestion.  The program currently monitors website domains, not individual videos.   For now, please set safesearch on youtube to see if it helps to filter unwanted videos.  Please check out the link below for details.

Re: Norton Family Video Supervision Improvement

Hi Katie,

I don't think this a good solution at all. My child has been viewing cartoon porn for months now. and I paid for PREMIUM.

The video supervision basically doesn't work now because the toolbar is being disabled everytime he logs on.

I have spoken to your agent and granted remote access, nothing can be done because norton didn't fix it.

I'm very disappointed with what I paid for.

I want a solution right now.

Thank you

Regards,

Johan

Re: Norton Family Video Supervision Improvement

Hi Xerobeat,

When you have the Video Supervision turned on in your Norton Family account,  the program records the URL to each of the videos the child visits, so you know what videos the child has watched.

You mentioned "The video supervision basically doesn't work now because the toolbar is being disabled everytime he logs on." If I understand you correctly, you are not able to see the list shows which videos the child has watched.  If this is the case, please make sure the add-on for Norton Family is enabled.  On the Windows device, please check the browser that your child uses to see if the add-on for Norton Family is enabled.  You can find it by clicking Tools ->   Manage Add-ons in IE if IE is being used.

Thanks

Katie

Re: Norton Family Video Supervision Improvement

Does McAfee support PC and mobile like Norton does though?  I think McAfee is just PC. i guess if your kids do not have androids, its not an issue....mine have PC and android so I need protection for both.

I too am disappointed if this is the explanation....the advertising seems to indicate that you CAN block individual videos ......blocking a domain wont help much.
