Norton Identity Safe does not synchronize to https://identitysafe.norton.com/

Hi, I just downloaded Norton Identity Safe, I created an account and a vault, and imported all my credentials from a CSV file. So far so good.

Then I logged in to https://identitysafe.norton.com/, opened my vault and it's empty.

Subsequently, none of my credentials synchronize to my phone app.

What can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi aristosv,

Just to verify - you are using the Stand Alone ID Safe - in other words you have no other Norton Product installed on your PC.

You mentioned your Phone app - on my android app, on the My Vault page there is a circle arrow (running icon) on the right hand upper section - have your tired to use that to sync your phone?

I am sure more users will respond shortly.

Hi, thanks for your reply. To answer your questions:

- Yes I am using the standalone ID safe and no other Norton product is installed on my computer.

- Does the Windows standalone ID safe application, require the browser plugin to synchronize with https://identitysafe.norton.com/ ? I thought the application could do it independently.

- I don't think any credentials will appear on my phone, unless the Windows standalone ID safe application synchronizes them to https://identitysafe.norton.com/ first.

I have alerted krusty13 of your posts and hopefully he will be able to answer all your questions as I believe he has the Stand Alone version installed.  I do not have it installed as I am using the full blown retail version of Norton Security Premium and as a result cannot install the Stand Alone.

It may be helpful if you posted your operating system and default browser.

I would say a check of your browser extensions and verifying the Norton Toolbar was enabled would be a good start.

I completely removed the standalone ID safe and reinstalled it, and now it works. Thanks for your help.

There have also been some ID Safe server issues since yesterday afternoon. You may just have gotten caught up in that.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
