Norton Identity Safe. Has this been fixed yet?

I like quite a few others on here have had this problem. I installed windows 10 on my laptop and desktop at the same time a few months ago.  All had been well except over the last couple of weeks the desktop has a problem.  Norton Identity Safe keeps asking me to sign in.  A code is sent to my phone and then the loop begins again.  I reinstalled Norton and for 24 hours all was well again but then this a.m. the loop started again.  I can go to https://identitysafe.norton.com to sign in but surely I shouldn't have to do this.

Has a resolution been found?

This is an issue that Norton has been made aware of. The work around seems to be going to your main NIS screen and clicking on your email at the top right. Click on Sign Out. Close your NIS and all browsers. Then sign into the vault again from the Toolbar. Remember you will first be asked for your Norton Account email and password, then the vault password.

It is not a Win 10 issue. Other OS users are seeing this too.

Sorry to say that workaround doesn't work for me.

I saw that on other posts and just find it very strange that it is taking so long to come up with a complete remedy.

Hi MASuk10,

Just curious if perhaps your 2 Factor Authentication is causing the workaround not to work.  You can go to https://login.norton.com (log into if not already logged in) turn off 2 factor and then try the work around again.   If the workaround works, you can re-enable your 2 factor and see it if still works correctly.

Identity Safe and Norton Toolbar programming updates is a mess- NOT just Windows 10, not working properly in Firefox 41 or Google Chrome browsers as mentioned in other threads, stuck with having to use IE as the only browser that is working properly with Identity Safe and Toolbar-

Norton doesn't seem willing to dedicate the resources to fix these issues in a timely manner.

Alas no joy with that either :-(

Re: Norton Identity Safe. Has this been fixed yet?

I found that IE in Win 10 kept stopping and restarting, on three different machines, this was reported by several users, of course Microsoft said they were no longer supporting IE and implied that we were lucky that it was available in Win 10 wanting us to go to Edge,  so I switched to Firefox.

Now there is the compatability problem between Norton and FF 41. Norton will get it fixed just in time for FF 42 to be released, then the roundabout starts again.

Surely Norton were aware that FF 41 was to be released and that the way the ID Safe and Norton Toolbar integrated, using handles, would no longer be available. Perhaps Norton feels that other software companies should wait for them!!

I've just had an hour of remote access support with Norton. All seems to be resolved although they could only determine a conflict with Norton 360.

I seem to have seen this before. Did they do an uninstall/re-install and clean up a few files? Let us know in a day or so if the fix sticks and ID Safe is still working as it should.

They did a few things I had already done, live updates etc. but not a re-install. (I had already done that, which worked for 24 hours)  He did go into the task manager and end some Norton processes. The test will be if all is still well in the a.m. :-)

I have tried everything suggested here (reinstall, workarounds, updates, etc.) and nothing is working. I've spent hours on this trying to get it to resolve and do not have an additional hour or more to spend with Norton support. So frustrating!!
