Norton Identity Safe Logins missing for one website.

Second posting 2013/08/22.

I submitted a URL request on 3 May 2013 and 9 Aug 2013.  I have not received any additional help on this URL.  After more than 10 weeks of waiting, I repeated my submission.

Still waiting.

I have one website for which Norton Identity Safe has stop showing notifications.  Something changed between 2013/04/24 and 2013.04.25.
I automatically open http://email.1and1.com/ as one of my Home pages in Internet Explorer 10.0.4 (Windows 7 64-bit).  This website now redirects to "https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html#".  The address stored in my Identity Safe logins is "https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html".
I know 1and1 changed something with their WebMail 2.0 website because some buttons also function differently inside WebMail 2.0.
Their other website http://webmail.1and1.com still works fine, but it's a completely different set of logins since it a different domain (https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/xml/config/Webmail_Login and https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/xml/webmail/Login is stored.)
I have a large number of logins at this website, and do not want to have to reenter them all
A couple months ago, I had a bank change the URL that they redirected online access to, but it was obvious that they had changed the domain.  And this required a new login.
Anyone else see this?

I'll see if I can notify the Safe Web team to look into this.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Norton Identity Safe Logins missing for one website.

Hi John,

To understand the issue,  Is auto fill or multiple login info bar not  happening/coming for saved logins on  this site https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html ?

Please provide product name and version(you can find it NIS/N360 Main UI -> Support ->About).

Can you check the issue in other browsers(FF/Chrome)?

Thanks,

Senthil

Re: Norton Identity Safe Logins missing for one website.

Senthil,

I have been using NIS & N360 for many years, , ... I use Identity Safe with both NIS (v20.4.0.40) & N360 (latest versions) on both with Windows 7 and WinXP.  Win7 64-bit Ultimate w/latest updates.  I do not use FF or Chrome.  I normally only use IE (currently IE10 on Win7 and IE8 on WinXP) and occasionally Safari.

The problem is that something that worked fine for several years stopped working on 2013/04/25.  I know they also changed some other functions (e.g., sort by date) down within the Webmail 2.0 application that same day. I have 50 to 60 email logins on this webmail site for all my website maintenance emails (e.g., support@mydomain.com).

It may be a coincidence, but they also added the "#" to the end of their website redirect.

When I watch another website come up, like Verizon, it takes several seconds and the Identity Safe data is not filled in until everything else is complete.

But at this http://email.1and1.com (which translates to https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html# with this "#", the Norton Identity Safe 'bar' never appears.  It may be a coincidence, but all of my web logins only had https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html without the "#".

If I use their old webmail URL https://webmail.1and1.com/, it works once since it redirects to https://webmailcluster.perfora.net/xml/config/Webmail_Login;jsessionid=...  (these are also in Identity Safe as Webmail 1.0) but reverts to the https://email.1and1.com/ox6/ox.html# when you log out.  And Norton Identity Safe 'bar' is again missing.

Thanks,

John

Re: Norton Identity Safe Logins missing for one website.

Hi John,

We are looking to the issue. The issue is happening in IE alone. It works fine FF and chrome.

Thanks,

Re: Norton Identity Safe Logins missing for one website.

Senthil,

Thanks for the info.

When I talked to the 1and1.com tech support, they said the proper URL was supposed to have the "#".  This was not saved in any of my Norton ID Safe logins.  I added the "#" to the logins and it still does not function correctly with IE10 (Win7) or IE8 (WinXP).

I have temporarily installed Google Chrome and verified that it does function properly.  The "#" is in the stored login, but does not appear in the Chrome URL.

It may also be a coincidence, but a security update (KB2840149) was installed on my computer on 2013/04/24.

Thanks again.

John
