norton idsafe: trouble while communicating with server

Just today (03/05/18) I installed Norton Mobile and Norton IDSafe on ipad air2.

I'm guessing I need the IDSafe app to access my password vault, but please correct if i'm wrong.

I can log in to Norton Mobile just fine, but when I try logging in to IDSafe, the Norton website pulls up and i'm able to enter my login info, but when it goes back the IDSafe app, I get "error while communicating with server".

Hello. Check your "region" settings in the app and restart.

What IOS version do you have?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Region for ipad = United States, which is correct.  Can't log in to the app to check if there is a region setting within the app.

IOS 11.2.6

I was able to log into my vault OK last night. If you are still seeing this communication issue, try uninstalling the ID Safe app, restart the iPad, then reinstall and try again.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Thanks, but tried that yesterday, and again earlier today (today I also did a restart after deleting, before re-installing).

I would suggest contacting Norton Support to see if they can shed some light on this.    www.norton.com/contactcs

Thank you.  checked out the link, followed the suggestions, still an issue.

I have contacted Norton, very long chat and remote sessions.  They escalated to level 2 team, now sending to engineering team.  I am now waiting for them to get back with me, which takes up to 3 days.

JS, have a look here as well. A question comes to mind, are you using a PIN or touch ID?

Re: norton idsafe: trouble while communicating with server

Bummer.  I opened the link and thought at first that maybe you had found a different Norton product.  But, unfortunately, it's the same app.  :(

When  you look at it in the apple store, the app is titled "Norton Identity Safe - Secure password manager".  But, once you install it, the app shows up on your apple device as "Norton IDSafe".

Also, for the Norton IDSafe, I am not using a pin or a touch id.  when I open it, it pops me out on a browser to the Norton website login page.  Once I login, it pops back over to the app, and then I get the error.

Thank you for the suggestions though.
