Norton Insight server problem, please fix it.

Norton Insight server problem, please fix it.

I tried to run Norton Insight on my PC, and when I run "Check Trust Now," it said can't connect Norton Inight.
And I also install a new NIS 2009 on another PC, when I run Norton Insight, it also has the same problem.
(Scan Need 100%, and can't update.)

So I think it's Norton Insight server problem, please fix it.

I just ran Insight and no problems. On both my laptop and desktop. Are you using any other security products?
Real Time Protection = NIS 2009 + NATBehavior Analysis = ThreatfireOn Demand = MBAM

If you had run Norton Insight, it will show you "last scan result."
But it not meant no problem.
You must choose one file which not trusted, and click "view→ check trust now".
Then maybe you can see "Update Error".

Coz I can't run Norton Insight in a new pc at all, it scan Needed 100%.

Re: Norton Insight server problem, please fix it.

It will always say scan needed 100% when you first start it up. Then it starts collecting information between your pc and the data base. Also they are not files on InSight. They are running proceeses. I just did what you said to. I right clicked on Firefox which had 4 stars. Then I clicked on view and trust now. I worked and now its Norton trusted. Have you run Live Update? Are you using any other security products? Is your connection very slow?

Is your NIS fully updated?

Re: Norton Insight server problem, please fix it.

The Insight server does appear to be down or acting up this morning.  It has always worked okay on previous runs from my Vista SP1 Business system with fully updated NIS 2009.  This morning a refresh states that:

Update Error

Norton Insight has failed to receive current information from Symantec.  Please try again later:

My system is in eastern USA.

It is working okay for me now too.  Obviously a momentary glitch of some sort.

Yes, that's what I said.
The problem happened about half day.
It's working fine now.
