Norton Internet Security caused Noscript and Addblock plus to be lost

I'm beginning to lose all trust in Symantec. I have just had to re-install NoScript and Addblock plus to my Firefox addons after Norton internet security removed them. This after previously seeing Norton submit data to community watch when I had it disabled. Not to mention talking control of my settings and making some options inaccessable by greying them out. Is this Norton internet security, or is it Norton spyware? I'm beggining to wonder. Symantec really messed up a good product when they released 2011, because there was far fewer problems with 2010. Norton 2011 is a complete disaster.

Re: Norton Internet Security caused Noscript and Addblock plus to be lost

Hi reactivate:

I know that it is frustrating, but 2011 has some major pluses, and is much less problematic than the 2009 issues with patches.  2010 had it's problems too, if you recall.  In this case, your system is having some conflicts with 2011.

Keep in mind that it is very complex software, going into systems full of minor Windows errors, different programs and applications, three different operating systems, five service packs, and millions of different personal preferences, and security settings.  There are many different browsers, and internet settings to contend with, as well as untold numbers of other program changes and software updates.  It's a miracle that it works at all.

It will be perfected just about the time 2012 is due out.

"Not to mention talking control of my settings and making some options inaccessable by greying them out."

I've already explained this in another thread.
