Norton Internet Security disappears (every day + serveral times)

After the Problems we had since December (Details see other post)
I thought we could be back to normal now with our NIS, but as it seems thats not the case.
On one Computer the NIS keeps shutting down / disappearing.
Today this happened 4 times ! ! ! Last week also daily several times.
The Program just shuts down and is no longer active.
No Reason, No Error-Message, nothing.
It just shuts down during normal work or idling.
The Computer is the same as others in the network even with less Apps running on it.
First of all this should not happen.
For the case that it does happen (and every App can crash) the NIS is designed to Start again by itself.
But it's not doing that now, so when it shuts down, the Computer is not protected until somebody notices
thie missing NIS and starts it again.
I really do not remember when the NIS crashed the last time...must be some years ago,
and back then it crashed with Error-Message and started again by itself.
This time no Error-Message and no Restarting just disappearing.
Any suggestions ?

The OS-Version is not important and the "Norton Internet Security" was up to Date.
I also saw this behavior about at least 3 weeks.
It is solved now (at least I hope so).
After 3 or more weeks I restored a backup-image on one Computer.
After that only one Error-Message came up sometimes. I could click "ok"
and the NIS remained running. This last Error-Message was gone a few
days later (probably because of a newer & repaired update).
On the other Computers I had to reinstall the NIS.
Not just because of the error (the update could not fix that)
but because of the fact that Norton dumped a bunch of
Gigabytes (!) on our Harddisks which I could not remove.
This is just nice...using Disk-Space for no Reason.
I guess Norton is no longer what it was when we bought the first Product.
