Norton LifeLock Attention Required box will not close, regardless how I answer question

I have an issue with a specific pop-up, under guise of NortonLifeLock Alert, on Windows 11.  When I plug in a device to one of my USB ports, I get a pop up “Attention required…would you like to scan USB drive for threats”  I say no, because it is not a drive, but rather a 4-port connector to use additional devices with computer.  When I say no to the question, the box just continues to pop up.  I can’t get rid of it.  This started happening a few weeks ago.  Before that I never had an issue.  I finally tried to say “yes” and that will not close the box either.  Also, clicking on the "X" in the corner will not close it either.  So, I am left with this Norton box open all of the time.  If I reboot computer it goes away, but only until I plug in the device again.  Screenshot attached.

I put in a different device, such as a mouse, to see if the message stops and it does not.

I have changed setting to not scan USB drives, but that is not solution, since I want Norton to ask me when I put in a device, for the times when I use a USB drive!
