Norton LOGIN is redirecting to a German Site

Hi all. If you do a search in Google for "Manage my Norton" and you hover your mouse over LOGIN you will see at the bottom left of your screen the path to that login. https://my.norton,com/partnerview/home/?pcode=mobilecom&no auth=1

If you click on Login the login screen pops up and there is a green icon next to the Norton Icon top left. If you ignore that and go ahead and  insert your login details the Norton page will open. If you then click on SUPPORT you are taken to a NON Norton page in German selling mobile phones etc!!

I have notifies a Sport agent of this some two weeks ago but as yet nothing has changed. By logging onto this page have they stolen my login details for Norton???

Re: Norton LOGIN is redirecting to a German Site

As a rule of thumb, I NEVER use the first parked URL at the top of any search results listing due to domain login pages being embedded with scripts and code to deceive the user into logging in to a parked site to steal credentials. The URL you posted is blocked by my browser as such and have typographic errors that would force a redirect or incomplete search result. The is a comma between the words norton and com. If you replace that comma with a period as it should be my results are as shown below. Your link is a parked domain redirect.

Re: Norton LOGIN is redirecting to a German Site

This happened to me today (June 3, 2022), over 6 months after it happened (late November 2021) at the beginning of this discussion. During my chat with support my Microsoft Edge browser crashed. I reopened the browser and restored the page and it didn't work, so I closed it and signed in again. I signed in using Login under my.norton.com in Google. The Google links were as follows:

My Norton - Login | Manage, Download or Setup an Account

https://my.norton.com

The Official Norton Site for existing customers to sign in or login to your account, setup, download, reinstall and manage.

At first glance, the link to Login appears okay. It appears the login page is a subset of my.norton.com. It is not, however, as it takes you to the the Norton/mobil.com/debitel website, which appears to be a Norton-run website with a third party brand. Indeed, after auto-signing in (i.e., I did not have to re-enter my password), there was the green mobil.com debitel logo next to the Norton logo in top left corner.

However, when I clicked on support, I was directed to the mobil.com debitel site, which was in German. This was disturbing and a violation of customer security. Even if this original site was a Norton website (presumably because I did not have to re-enter a password to access it), the support page was a non-Norton foreign third party site that a U.S. customer should not be directed to. The issue needs to be fixed.

It is very disturbing for this to be happening with an online security company such as Norton that is supposed to be protecting my computer rather than sending it to third party websites. Norton can't blame Google for this -- it should be on top of the situation. Norton has had over 6 months to fix the problem, but it is still occurring.

It seems that there a problem on the Norton website that caused my browser to crash, and then caused it to access mobil.com debitel.
