Norton Main is Secure but System Tray Icon is Not

Hi,

I am not too sure if any one has experience this problem.

I disable my Auto Protect mode and set it to enable after booting...

After my Notebook boot, the icon on System Tray & Norton Main Manuel is different.

The Main Manuel said I am SECURE but the System Tray icon has a RED X on it.

This happened nearly always when I set the disable and enable after booting.

I am using WIN XP SP3.

I have attached the problem.

Let me know.

Thank you

Re: Norton Main is Secure but System Tray Icon is Not

THank you for your reply,

I did not try running Update, I forgot to add that when I right click on System Tray ICON, the pop  upinformation stated that Anti-Virus is Enable....ALTHOUGH THE NORTON ICON IS RED X.

I click on enable, the System Tray then turn to normal check mark (Green).

This has happened to me several times already.

I do not understand. If you do as I suggest and not as your have done, does the problem go away?

Next, when you right click does it say "Disable Antovirus auto protect " or does is say "Enable anti virus auto-protect"

I cant see how it can say "Anti-virus is enable" unless you are using a version other than the one I had understood.
