Norton misses functionality compared to DinnerTime

  • Can we set apps that can be used always unless timeframe or time spend? Like Whatsapp and Calling?
  • Can we display real-time status of our children’s device and which app is currently running?
  • Can we instant block the smartphone?

Re: Norton misses functionality compared to DinnerTime

Hi Ralf,

Q: Can we set apps that can be used always unless timeframe or time spend?

A: Yes. You can allow and block apps.  For the allowed apps, the child can always use them during allowed time frame.  They will be blocked during curfew time.

Q: Can we display real-time status of our children’s device and which app is currently running?

A: Not currently.  I'll pass your request to the management team.

Q: Can we instant block the smartphone?

A: Yes.  As a parent, you can go to your Norton Family online account and change the time restrictions.  The change affects the usage of the phone immediately.

Thanks

Katie

Re: Norton misses functionality compared to DinnerTime

Hi Katie,

Thanks for your answers. However check the DinnerTime app.

1. The question is "always unless timeframe or time spend". That means for the allowed apps, the child can always use them during allowed time frame AND during blocked / curfew time...

2. Ok

3. Why is there no Norton Family app for the smartphone off the parent to block Phone immediately, without logging in to the Norton family website?

Regards, Ralf.

Re: Norton misses functionality compared to DinnerTime

Ralf,

Thanks for the update.

1. During restricted time, child can't use any apps on the phone.  Child is only able to make phone calls to the people on the allowed list for call.  I'll report your request to the team as well.

3. Will forward this to the team too.

Thanks

Katie

Thanks Katie
