Norton Mobile app advisor bar gone

Since this morning, the notification bar of Norton Mobile's app advisor hasn't been showing up anymore in the Google Play Store. This occurs on ALL the devices of my wife and mine. In the past it happened sometimes that the bar doesn't show anymore (without known reason) but a reboot of the device always helps. This time it doesn't. That's why I think there's more going on, especially because it happens on all devices (with Norton Mobile on it).

Just updated Norton mobile to the latest version.

I just checked my Android 9 tablet I saw the same issue you did, and the information did help. The only glitch I ran into is that the article mentions tapping on the three bars at the top left to find About. My experience was....As GP store app is opened, tap on your user icon to the right of the search bar, then tap on Settings > About. That is where you will see the Play Store version and the Update Play Store link.

Thanks Peterweb, I always check the version of GP Store daily and update it asap, so my version is always the latest. Also, battery optimization of Norton has always been set to 'none' since the first install. So I'll just wait for a solution for this issue. As a matter of fact, GP Store updated right now to version 31.8.19-21 [0] [PR] 466385160. I rebooted my device after that but the issue still persists unfortunately.

On my device, I forced a check for new version of GP store app, and then the App Advisor worked again for me. Maybe forcing the check resets something.

Have you checked your version of 360 is up to date?  Latest version as of Aug 2, is   5.40.0.220715002

Yeah I did both the force check of GP Store and Norton 360. Norton is version 5.41.0.220729004.

On one of my wife's devices (Samsung Tab S7 FE) it works again. On the rest (samsung M51, Xiaomi 11T Pro en Poco X3 NFC) it still doesn't.

It not that big deal so I'll just wait for an update of Norton.

I wonder if the Android versions make a difference. My tablet is on Android 9. What are the versions on your devices?

3x Android 12 and 1x 11. Android 9 is quite ancient but often the advantage is: the older the version, the less issues with 3rd party apps. The tablet (Galaxy S7 Tab) is on 12 but the Norton bar works on that device, surprisingly.

It is remarkable that apparently the issue is not device-bound since it occurs on several phones/tablets here of different brands. On this community I haven't found any other people yet with the same problem but I can't imagine I'm the only one.

As I noted, Norton is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it. Keep an eye out for any Norton updates.

As a last resort, I reinstalled the app on one of the devices. Funny, apparently it downgraded from version 5.41 to 5.40.0.220715002 now.

But still the App Advisor bar doesn't work, unfortunately. Imo I've done all I could now.
