Norton Mobile Security Privacy

After installing Norton Mobile Security, in "Settings" there are Apps that are asking if they can be "Trusted" despite being classified as "Safe". I would say that most Apps on my Samsung Galaxy cannot be fully trusted given permissions they require. Can these in question be left as is without further classification? Can "Trusted" even be considered valid?

Re: Norton Mobile Security Privacy

You can always ignore the warnings, but your Privacy score on the main NMS screen will not be at 100%. If you are OK seeing a low Privacy score, that is your choice.

The point of the warnings is to let you know about the permissions. If you trust the developer to use those permissions wisely, you can trust the app. If you do not trust the developer, you might want to look for a different app to fill that need.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks, I understand what you are saying, and they are system apps which can be disabled. 88% isn't too bad...

Re: Norton Mobile Security Privacy

If you are having system apps detected, I would suggest disabling the Scan System Apps setting in NMS Settings. That way those detections will no longer appear and you will get your privacy score back up.
