Norton Mobile Security won't login

I recently upgraded to the Galaxy S7 running Android 7.0.  Having removed my old S5 from the device list on my account, I sent an email to install on the S7.  Everything installed and activated EXCEPT the contact backup feature.  Once again it doesn't login, which is the same issue I had on the S5 - it just spins and goes back to the login page.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.

Re: Norton Mobile Security won't login

Have you restarted the device?

If that does not help, try going into the Norton Mobile Security, NMS app settings. Tap on the 3 bars at the top left of the NMS screen and tap on Settings. Scroll down to the Anti Theft section and turn off the Device Administrator setting.  Now go to Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the NMS app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device and turn the Device Administrator setting back on. This will reset your NMS to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the NMS app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.

Then test to see if things work properly.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Re: Norton Mobile Security won't login

Thank you for the reply. I went through the steps you suggested, and it did reset my NMS to the trial version.  I was able to login, and it appears that the serial number of the app matches my desktop version.  The contacts backup appears to have worked, as well.  Currently, the Norton page shows the generic name, even though I have changed it to be more descriptive.  Also, the page shows that it was last online 19 hours ago, even though it's been on.

If you reset the app on your device, you will have to rename the device again on your Norton Account web site.

Unfortunately, the web site can have issues with reporting the online/offline status of a device.
