Norton Mobile Unlock & Iphone

I replaced my Iphone and cannot get mobile unlock to work with the new Iphone. Apparently to unlock request is sent to the old phone. I have removed the old phone from the settings menu and tried setting it up again but keep getting the old phone. The phone # stayed the same and the old phone was cloned to the new one. The old phone has been erased so it cannot conflict but the new phone is still not recognised. How do I removed all phone info from Norton and start over. Deleting it in the Mobile Unlock menu does not do it.

Re: Norton Mobile Unlock & Iphone

Delete the phone in the Mobile Unlock settings. Then log out of your vault and Norton Account.

Then make sure you are logged into your Norton Password Manager vault on your iPhone when you are trying to set up the new phone in the Mobile Unlock settings.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried your suggestion but still no go. When I try to set up the phone in the Password Manager app it shows 4 instances of the old phone to choose from. I removed the phone and  logged out of Password Manager and Norton and still get the same 4 choices when I try to setup again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both the computer and the phone and still end up with the same 4 choices.

Just to confirm, you need to remove the listed devices from the Settings Page when you log into your vault from the NPM extension in your browser.

Then try adding the new phone again.

Yes I have removed it many times but when I go to add new phone it always gives me the same list of 4 choices and none will work.

Re: Norton Mobile Unlock & Iphone

I forgot to ask initially, what model of iPhone are you using and what iOS version?

It may be time to try contacting Norton support to see if they can shed any light on this.   www.norton.com/contactcs
