Norton monitor rule notifications

I have been getting monitor rule notification constantly on my computer.  I may have set up a monitor rule for one task in my settings.., but the notfifications are for a more broad selection of detections.  I have tried to resolve/ stop  these through advice on how to fix this through browsers  etc but it has not worked; the step were not valid. The monitor notifications are exessive.  I need a fix.

@jimbobh, can you give us more information about the errors you are seeing? Perhaps a screeen shot?
