norton password manager requires a fingerprint on android

Whenever I try to have Norton Password Manager fill in a password on chrome on my Android phone, it prompts me to confirm my identity by using a fingerprint.  The fingerprint reader on my phone rarely works, so this makes the password manager unusable for the purpose.  I have set up a pin, but Norton Password Manager insists on a fingerprint.  I have completely deleted the Norton Password data and cache from the machine and set it up again, but it still insists on the fingerprint.  How do I get it to just prompt for the pin?

Remove fingerprint from your phone as a biometric way to bypass entering your password.
