Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Windows 10 Home x64, IE 11 11.540.15063.0, NSBU ver. 22.10.1.10 "traditional channel".

The product update to version 22.10.1.10 corrected the NIS login scroll flickering issue yet just after reboot this morning that darned Peek popup is going batchit crazy all over the place yet again. Can hardly type anything due to the nuisance. Anyone other than myself seeing this again?

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

I still have not seen this peek thing (7x64) yet, same build as you (only the comcast version).

Can you post a screenshot for reference?

I was unable to find/change the peek setting via Norton setting search, going to where it should be in settings, or using the on/off keyboard shortcut.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

There isn't a setting for peek anywhere in the Norton settings either. Just a FYI !!

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Can you post a Process Explorer (in hierarchy tree view ctrl+t) with the peek window selected via the "target selector" (Find window's process)?

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

I SUCESSFULLY disabled the peek feature on this laptop and posted the how to in the other thread here. Ctrl+alt+p will not activate the shortcut any longer. Hurray!!! lol

However, it is persistent on my Gateway gaming rig yet not the HP gamer my room mate uses. Working that issue as we speak for a resolution.

Hi @Mi1,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Could you please provide Operating System and Norton Product name and Version installed details? Thanks.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Come on Norton, you created the monster so how long does it take for you to fix it?  I gave you the information you requested and here we are with Peek still popping up on my screen, I want it gone permanently.

Where did you post this information. You have only made 2 posts and they are both in this thread.

Maybe Mi1 had a session with support they have not share with us in the posts? Just a possibility.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

I am having this issue. Anytime the "P" key is pressed, Norton Peek appears. Ctrl+Alt+P does not get rid of it, nor is there an option to do so in the administrative settings. It completely ruins trying to type or play games. (Running on a Windows 10 Laptop.)

Doc_Cobra  Please have a look at this thread and my last workaround. Hoping it works for you as well.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Thanks for your patience. Our engineering team has released a NORTON PEEK HOTFIX via LiveUpdate, which turns off Norton Peek entirely. This will download via LiveUpdate automatically, or you can run LiveUpdate manually to receive the hotfix. It will appear as "NS Product Update" in LiveUpdate, and will not require a reboot for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 systems. It will require a reboot for Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Please let me know if this resolves the problem for you. Thanks again, I appreciate your feedback on this issue.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Confirmed!! All my machines now have the peek feature 100% dead. Hats off to all who participated and @Tony_Weiss  for getting this escalated and corrected.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

I see "PeekUI.dll" has been updated. Will this feature make a return in a functional state some day? I've never even seen it in action or what is supposed to do.

Re: Norton Peek pop-up HAS RETURNED

Based on the customer feedback we've received in the forum, as well as via phone and chat, we're going to work a bit more on Norton Peek. But we plan to have it return, taking into consideration the pain points that have been detailed in this thread and others. Thanks.
