norton popup offer?

A number of times now an unwanted popup has appeared at startup. It says it is from "Noton" [sic] and it has the Norton trademarks as well as a rather odd-looking version of the Google Chrome symbol.  The message tells me I am being given a limited time offer to download a Norton purchase protection program worth $1000 guarantee.  If by some chance this is legitimate, the presentation needs to be improved.  Also, if it is legitimate, I will seriously consider looking for new security software.  Is it legitimate?  Creepy.

Re: norton popup offer?

It is a legitimate Norton message. Just click No Thanks at the bottom of the message and you should not see it again.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
