Norton Power Eraser Beta

The Norton team has just released the new Norton Power Eraser beta,  NPE 2.5.0.26

I hope many of you have a chance to try it and let us know what you think..

We look forward to reading your feedback and great ideas.

Key changes in this release:

•    Improved Network Resiliency
We have added additional logic to resolve network problems that prevent NPE from running

•    Undo to a separate partition
If you remove a file that makes the system unbootable, (certain rootkits that hook the OS for example) you can boot from NBRT or another Windows partition and undo the changes to the other OS
Note: Current NBRT does not use NPE 2.5 beta.

•    Main UI and setting layout changes
Main UI layout  has been updated with the three principal actions available as clickable button (Scan, History, Settings)
Similarly, the settings page layout has been refreshed and updated.

•    Setting option to only show bad files
Suspicious files that would normally be shown in the scan results can be suppressed. Users that have a high number of suspicious files that are safe may wish to enable this setting.
