Norton Protection Reminder - Why? I'm not subscribed!

Why have I got the reminder below? I haven't got a subscription! This was a common problem some years back, I seem to remember.

You do not have a Norton Security subscription?

Verify that an email you receive from Norton is legitimate

You gave your email to Norton.  Norton owns your email.  Maybe, check your Norton account Email Preferences.

Hi Taffy_078:

Do you mean that you don't have auto-renewal enabled for your current Norton subscription? The signature at the bottom of your posts in this forum indicates you have Norton Security installed on your Win 10 machine, and if you have auto-renewal disabled and you only have 9 days remaining on your subscription then Norton will keep nagging you to extend your subscription for another year, either via e-mail reminders or pop-ups from the Norton icon in your system tray.  These email reminders sometimes arrive weeks after you've already renewed your subscription with a new product key.

'These email reminders sometimes arrive weeks after you have already renewed'

This sentence from the above email may answer my query.  I was wondering why I keep getting pop ups from Norton telling me that my Norton support ends in 23 days, when in fact I renewed my subscription in April and received confirmation of this from Norton.  Please would some one confirm this?

Um, have you checked Automatic Renewal is Off and payment info is removed.

Norton payment processor doesn't know you've renewed.

And if payment processor has your payment information ...payment may still be pulled from your credit card without your approval as a recurring charge.

You'll need to monitor your charge account and if you are charged .... Chat with Official Norton Support and ask for refund.

Re: Norton Protection Reminder - Why? I'm not subscribed!

Can anyone tell me why I am STILL getting pop ups telling me my Norton subscription is about to end?  I renewed in April - received confirmation of my payment and checked in my account where it acknowledges my renewal and added a further year to my subscription. Where do the pop ups come from?

Hi bjm_. I'm still getting the reminder - got another today, to which I replied appropriately! I've replied to Imacri that I need to update my signature so before I check my bank account, please remind me where to find the Auto-Renewal option, Thanks.

PS Can you feed upwards a suggestion for me please, that when we sign in there should be the "eye" to show us what we are keying in?
