Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

I have 2pc`s & i have always renewed my Norton by purchasing a Cd that protects up to 3pc`s.

Is it possible to renew my Norton Security on my 2pc`s by purchasing a separate Cd with 1pc protection for each of my computers? Or does it require the same product code to be used for both pc`s because both pc`s are registered on one norton account

Re: Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

Hi daisyfluff,

First of all CD's are no longer available from Norton - only downloads.

Also one user product (Norton Security Standard) is usually priced at $59.99 and are now on sale for $39.00.

3 user product (Norton Security Deluxe) is usually priced at $79.99 and are now on sale for 49.99.

These are the current prices (today) from Norton.com as shown below:

What I am trying to show you is that even though you only need to cover two systems, it is still cheaper to buy the 3 user Deluxe than 2 of the Standard 1 user products.  Besides with the extra slot, you can cover a phone if you get one.

And actually, the Deluxe version covers 5 devices in the example above. This allows you to protect any tablets or smart phones you may have.

Thanks for the correction peterweb - Deluxe is in fact 5 devices, I was zeroed in on the 3 users version the OP mentioned.  That's what happens when the mind gets old!

Hello

Actually, the number of slots for Deluxe depends on your location. For the most part, it is 5 devices, but there are some locations where the deluxe is 3 devices.

Thanks.

Re: Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

Thank you for your advice.

It was my mistake to say Cd because i realise that Norton is now available as a Download & not in Cd form.

It is possible to purchase Norton at a cheaper price from retailers than it is direct from the Norton Website & its also sometimes cheaper to buy 2 x 1pc downloads than it is to buy a download for up to 3pc`s.

I only have 2pc`s & i dont think i will ever use my mobile for internet use, so security for 2pc`s is all that i will need. Thats why i wonder if i buy 2 x 1pc downloads, will it be ok to use a different product key for each pc ?

Re: Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

There is no problem using two different product keys on different machines. It is just easier to keep track of the keys if you only have one.

Feel free to choose which ever option is more economical. Just be sure the retailer you use is reputable.

Re: Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

The sale $49 price is for the first year only.

What is the price after the first year if I let the automatic renewal kick in? (? $79  ?).

It expires on April 4.

I only need the protection for 2 pc's. I am one of the few people who does not own a mobile phone or use a tablet. Seems like a waste of money to purchase for 5 slots.

Re: Norton Renewal for 2pc`s

Hello

No one knows what the price will be after the first year. I never use automatic renewals nor do I ever recommend others to use them. This is why Norton Security also comes in 1 device versions. You can get 2 of those versions and use them on what it is needed for. I also say no to automatic renewals because in a year's time, who knows if you will still be able or want the same software.

Thanks.
