Norton runs performance tasks every day, and I need to change it to run only 1x/month

Norton runs performance tasks every day, and I need to change it to run only 1x/month.  Norton is too inefficient - it hogs resources and slows my performance down too much.  Background tasks should not interfere with performance, or should pause/wait if it detects activity on my laptop (such as my using it).  I have also tried shutting down Norton for a period of 15-30 minutes, which helps.  There should be a setting somewhere to regulate performance tasks, since they are not related to anti-virus or firewall.

Hello MSChicago. Open the settings in the below screenshots and set the frequency of your background tasks to your choosing.
