Norton secure browser change default search engine

I use the Norton secure browser since a few days.
However, I do want to change the default search engine. Norton's search engine is too restricting and Bing's search engine (the other available choice) does not give the desired results.
The settings tab describes that one can change the search engine. But there is no way to actually do it.
I have Windows 11 Pro, by the way.

fwiw ~ as test:
I deleted DuckDuckGo search engine and cycled browser to confirm.
"Reset settings" returned DuckDuckGo search engine.

I thought I added a screenshot on my first post but the system said something else, I guess...

Thank you for your reply bjm_ but that is the actual problem: I cannot use any other searchengines. I deleted the Norton search engine. The other pre-installed is Bing. I cannot ADD any other searchengines. That is the problem.

Did you click on Manage search engines and site search?  IIRC the option to add another search engine is in there.

Re: Norton secure browser change default search engine

Yes, I did, Peterweb.
There is no option to add a searchengine. I hope I am overlooking something...

Do not get confused by the 'Site search' (where I did add Google but is not the actual search engine within the browser).

Re: Norton secure browser change default search engine

fwiw ~ my Norton Secure Browser (default) install

I'm seeing "Make default" & "Delete" for Yahoo/Bing/DuckDuckGo.
Google (Default) three dots are not active.

Maybe, try Reset settings.

Maybe, try Norton Secure Browser reinstall / over install to bring back search engines.

Re: Norton secure browser change default search engine

Thank you, bjm_

A reset did the trick

Not sure why my 'pre-reset' -version did not have the other search engines but that is no longer of any concern.

Problem is solved. Happy camper here
